Project Overview

Feel2Art Gallery (feel2artgallery.com) is a therapeutic art print e-commerce platform built and launched by NAVAM Digital under the Navam Wellness LLC brand. The platform sells premium AI-generated abstract art prints organized around 46 human emotions, fulfilled via print-on-demand through FinerWorks. It was designed from day one to prove that AI can power every layer of a modern e-commerce business — from product generation to customer interaction to marketing automation.

Challenge

The challenge was to build a production-grade e-commerce platform from scratch on shared hosting — without relying on Shopify, WooCommerce or any off-the-shelf platform — while integrating AI at every layer of the customer experience.

The platform needed to handle real-time pricing from a print-on-demand API, calculate sales tax accurately across US jurisdictions, generate and serve 8K print-ready images and provide an intelligent AI art curator that could guide customers to the right artwork based on their emotional state — all within strict shared hosting constraints.

Solution

NAVAM Digital designed and built the full platform in-house, delivering a production-ready system with the following components:

  • Custom E-Commerce Engine: Built entirely in PHP and MySQL with no off-the-shelf cart platform. Includes a full product catalog, size and material selector (canvas and metal prints in 7 sizes), real-time pricing from FinerWorks API, cart management, discount codes and a streamlined checkout flow.
  • Stripe Payments and Tax: Integrated Stripe PaymentIntents with the Stripe Tax Calculations API for real-time US sales tax calculation before payment. Tax is committed after payment confirmation, ensuring accurate tax accounting from day one.
  • FinerWorks Print-on-Demand Integration: Full API integration for order submission, status tracking and shipping updates. Orders flow automatically from checkout to FinerWorks production with webhook-based status updates and automated customer email notifications at each stage.
  • AURA AI Art Curator: A conversational AI chatbot powered by OpenAI GPT-4.1-mini that interprets customer emotional states, room contexts and color preferences and translates them into dynamic gallery filter queries. Features include emotion-based filter pills, speech-to-text input via Whisper API, AI text polishing, FAQ caching for cost efficiency and a two-layer rate limiting system (session and IP-based) to prevent abuse.
  • Wall Preview Feature: An interactive canvas-based visualization tool that lets customers preview any artwork on their actual wall — using a default room background, an uploaded photo or live camera feed. Artwork scales realistically with configurable sizing.
  • AI Image Pipeline: Art is generated using DALL-E 3 and upscaled to 8K resolution via Replicate Real-ESRGAN for print-quality output. Images are stored on AWS S3 with Cloudflare CDN delivery.
  • Transactional Email System: Full order lifecycle emails via ZeptoMail including order confirmation, FinerWorks submission confirmation, shipping notification with tracking and delivery confirmation — all with branded HTML templates.

Results

  • Full production e-commerce platform launched in April 2026 on shared hosting with zero downtime
