Project Overview

NAVAM Digital designed and deployed a complete AI-powered social media automation system for Feel2Art Gallery, a therapeutic art print brand. The system generates on-brand posts twice a week using GPT-4, composes 1080x1080 branded images, routes them through a human approval workflow and publishes automatically to Instagram and Pinterest — with zero manual effort after initial setup.

The system was built and proven in production on our own brand before being offered as a service to clients. Total operational cost: pennies per post versus $1,500-3,000 per month for a traditional social media agency.

Challenge

Small and mid-size brands need consistent, high-quality social media presence to grow organically. Traditional options are expensive — agencies charge $1,500-3,000 per month for content creation and scheduling — or time-consuming if done in-house. Off-the-shelf scheduling tools require manual content creation and provide no brand-specific intelligence.

The challenge was to build a system that could generate genuinely on-brand content, compose professional images, maintain quality control through human approval and post reliably on schedule — all at minimal cost.

Solution

NAVAM Digital built a fully automated social media pipeline with human-in-the-loop approval, deployed entirely on shared hosting with no third-party scheduling tools:

AI Content Generation: GPT-4.1-mini generates a complete post package for each artwork — a 2-4 sentence Instagram caption, 12-15 targeted hashtags and a short poetic quote for overlay graphics. Content is tailored to each specific artwork's emotion, category and brand voice. A rotation algorithm ensures no artwork is repeated until the full catalog has been cycled.
Automated Image Composition: PHP GD library composes 1080x1080 JPEG post images in two alternating styles — Artwork Only (clean full-image with subtle brand watermark) and Branded Graphic (artwork in top 62% with quote overlay, brand attribution and URL in a dark footer panel). Brand colors, Cormorant Garamond typography and gold accents are applied programmatically with every composition.
Human Approval Workflow: Posts are never auto-published. Every generated post is emailed to the brand manager with the full composed image, caption, hashtags and a one-click Approve button secured by a unique token. The post is only scheduled for publishing after explicit approval — from email or the admin dashboard.
Admin Marketing Dashboard: A password-protected web dashboard shows all upcoming and historical posts with full details. Managers can view, approve, edit captions, regenerate AI content, publish immediately or skip any post without touching code.
Automated Publishing: Approved posts are published automatically on schedule via cPanel cron jobs to Instagram (Meta Graph API) and Pinterest (Pinterest API v5) with the composed image, full caption and platform-specific metadata. A post-publish email confirmation is sent with platform IDs and status.
Theme and Emotion Rotation: The system tracks which emotions and artworks have been posted via a rotation database, ensuring diverse content across the catalog and preventing repetition until all products have been featured.
